NOAA is forecasting 12-25″ of snowfall in the higher elevations here in Jackson Hole for the next 3 days.  The heaviest snow is forecast to come down on Tuesday.  Let the shred begin!

The AVALON7 studio is located right at the base of Teton Pass, and snow has been falling off and on here all week.   There seems to be fairly decent accumulation happening at the top of JHMR and Grand Targhee, and we’ve heard of a few brave souls- namely Meredith Edwards, Owen Leeper and the legendary Wild Bill even venturing up to to the Middle Teton with their skis to try to find something to play on.

We’re ready to shred, are you?

From the NOAA website:

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RIVERTON WY 244 PM MST SUN NOV 1 2015 …A DEVELOPING STORM SYSTEM TO OUR WEST WILL STRENGTHEN AND MOVE EAST INTO WESTERN WYOMING MONDAY AND SPREAD INTO CENTRAL WYOMING MONDAY NIGHT INTO TUESDAY. Here’s badass adventurer Meredith Edwards testing out the conditions on the Middle Teton a couple of days ago.   If the forecast is accurate, things are only going to get better up there!
